Jesus medallions, and other heavenly thoughts

I found something slightly disturbing today on the wonderful world of the internet. Yes, even more disturbing than cat porn.

It is the "Jesus Head" medallion.
Why is it disturbing? I'm not really sure. Why is my mustache
disturbing? It is a question no one can really answer. Bon himself
wears a medallion, but it is of a scorpion and not a blasphemous
reference to the Lord's death and resurrection.

But is this any different than someone wearing a gold cross? I really
can't tell. Doesn't the Lord say 'you cannot serve God and money'? I would suspect Jesus's head just prior to His crucifixion covered in 18K gold and a crown of thorns in diamonds would sort of contradict itself. You be thejudge.

>Jesus is depicted here telling the rich young ruler he will not enter the kingdom of heaven without a Jesus-Head medallion.Speaking of heaven, my friends and I were debating about one's entry into heaven. Meaning, when one dies, would they go directly to heaven or hell, or is there a "waiting" area, or, purgatory as some call it?

I contended that one Playa, Manny (aka, the Guv'na) would be placed in
a sort of "time out" box until God deemed him fit to enter heaven. When I was in 3rd grade, we had this hyper-active kid named Jonathan who could not control his actions or outbursts. So, a cardboard box was constructed for Jonathan to sit in, tall enough that he could not see out or around the box, but open where he could still breathe. Jonathan spent most of his 3rd grade existence in this box. So much so, that it was ultimately painted by his older brother with murals of the outdoors o Jonathan would not feel like a complete animal, I suppose. He emained in the box until our teacher saw he would be calm enough to nteract with the rest of society.

I predict Manny will end up in a carboard box of heaven some day.
P.S. I am also disturbed that the topic of "Jesus" and the mention of
"cat porn" are in the same vicinity of each other. I'm sure the Lord
understands a joke, albeit distasteful, when He hears one. I hope.

It's friggin' $2500!! Among many other pretty obvious reasons, THAT is why it is disturbing. The
question about your mustache though continues to perplex me. I have
found myself wandering the streets of this large central Siberian city
of 2 million wondering why and by what means and how can a mustache
like that cause me so much angst. It is a haunting a question and one I
suppose I will carry with me until I see you at the next Faux Lewis
Grizzard gathering at The Fox. At that time, I will touch said mustache
and many of life's questions will be finally answered.Disturbed? You should be!
