MAD props for using the name Tackleberry.

Are you saying the Playaz are bad meat, Mr. Advertisement? Phil? What's the pull date on this blog?

The Guvna looks a lot like Rollie Fingers crossed with Bert "Be Home" Blyleven. What gives??85
in Toronto? That was Jeff Burroughs' swan song I think. Too bad Cox
couldn't bring him back to Atlanta. Those were the days!

Mini-whites are included.

I believe I finished with 20 wins that year. Most were
erased from the books, however, due to my ties with Pete Rose and
Emmanuel Lewis.

Blue Jays circa 85, 86, 87? We're talking the Dave Stieb era then.

1986. And yes, Captain you are correct. I think Bobby Cox
transported all his players from the Blue Jays over to the Braves, as
Blue Jay greats such as Doyle Alexander, Jim Acker, and Mickey Mahler
also pitched for them. As well as a young first baseman named Fred
McGriff who was traded to Atlanta when we won our one and only world
championship.

It is Tac's full name. As you might suspect, Tac has anger management issues.I can't recall exactly, but I think the Blue Jays is circa 85,86 (87?)?

Posted by: Phil at October 4, 2005 4:33 PM

You KNOW I had a full set of Blue Jays cards from the early 90s. What year was the Guvna card issued? Did Tac ever hit 'le homerun' during his days in Montreal?

Excellent. Where can I get all five?

Posted by: Rhinestone Cowgirl at October 4, 2005 4:33 PM

Only from a serious collector, I would imagine. I believe
only 3 cards were released of each Playa, to maintain our uniqueness.
