Playaz defeat the Harlem Globetrotters with sound fundamentals
The Playaz defeated the world famous Harlem Globetrotters, in a recent exhibition game 52-44.
The Playaz beleagured the Clown Princes with sound fundamentals and tenacious defense.
Oft attempting to trick the Playaz with their fanciful displays of no-look passes, behind-the-back dribbling, and alley-oops, the Playaz merely forced their will on the 'Trotters with steals, elbows to the face and ribs, boxing out, and rebounding.
The Globetrotters were no match for the Playaz' slow-down game on the offensive end, either, as the Playaz used the "five pass rule" (passing a minimum of five times prior to any shot at the basket), and a wide array of jump-stops, pivots, and double-pumps.
Catching the ball in the low post, Bon gave center Nate "Big Easy" Lofton seventeen double pumps before finally drawing a foul and making consecutive free throws.
The crowd became quite displeased with the Playaz "boring" style of basketball.
"They wouldn't even let the Globetrotters dribble the ball hardly at all," 9 year old Jason Barrymore was quoted as saying. "That thing where they slide on the ground and dribble the ball? The Playaz would always just double team the guy and pick the ball up from him, or, yell at the referees to call 'travelling'. It sucked."
"The Globetrotters were relatively easy to defend," Wayne said. "They are not very careful with the ball, and often times they would stop play altogether to play pranks on the referee or someone in the stands. That's when we'd take the ball from them and go score a basket at the other end," Wayne added.
Kenny Rogers, subbing in for a deceased Guv'na, chipped in 7 points and 8 rebounds.

An angry Globetrotter team vowed never to schedule a game with the Playaz again, and the Playaz in turn vowed to ban the Globetrotters from entering the Atlanta city limits lest they be subject to arrest.
