Playaz to promote fight between Mike Tyson and Bea Arthur

Following a recent announcement by Mike Tyson stating his desire to fight women, the Playaz held a pre-fight press conference announcing their intention to promote a fight between the former heavyweight champion and comedienne Bea Arthur.

The former "Maude" and "Golden Girls" star has signed with the Playaz to participate in a 12 round sanctioned fight to be held in Madison Square Garden sometime in 2007.

Tyson has been battling both legal and financial troubles for the last several years and has been out of boxing for sometime. Upon the announcement by Tyson of his desire to get back into the ring, possibly to fight women, the Playaz deemed the mannish Arthur a natural fit.

"She has a stiff straight jab, and a deadly upper cut," Tac was quoted as saying. "We expect her to gain around 50 lbs. by fight time, where she'll weigh in at about 245," compared to Tyson's natural fighting weight of approximately 220-225.

Arthur states she is looking forward to the fight, her first since knocking out Ed McMahon at last year's Jerry Lewis telethon.
