Fair photos, pt. II, and other bits of business

Due to popular demand, below are a few extra photos taken by me on my trip to the County Fair.

The posters outside the Freak Tent were fantastic, and I could have literally taken dozens of pictures of these.

Once inside, however, I discovered that 99% of what was being advertised on the artwork outside was nowhere to be found within the tent.

Pete, and Repete

I was "forbidden" to take photos once inside the tent, which is why I only snuck a photo of the preserved monkey in the previous post, and this display case. I think I could have done better if I tried harder, and regret not requesting a photograph of the woman who lorded over the exhibits, but I found myself wanting to get away from her within minutes of engaging her in conversation.

"I seeeeee yoooooooouuu....."

This clown taunted us twice as we walked by. Perched inside a cage with a microphone, this Gacy-like character would attempt to goad passers by into spending $5 to try and dunk him. On my second trip, I took a photo of him. "I see blondie's back for more! She must like men in make-up!" he shouted to my female companion, obviously trying to incite me. If she were in fact my wife, I might have challenged him.

If a fair arrives in your town, I highly suggest you go. People will question your sanity, but I promise you will enjoy it.

Several of you have asked about the comments section. Unfortunately this has been tricky to figure out and they are still down. Playaz Ball is hosted for free by the people who run the European Space Agency's servers and websites. We should have known better than to go with someone other than American, but we have made our bed, and until they fix it we'll have to wait. Then, we'll fire them.
